We are happy to announce the completion of the development of a Systems Thinking And Systems Modelling course, which will serve as a valuable resource for The Lab’s educational initiatives.
The course consists of five modules, which include a comprehensive introduction to systems thinking and a step-by-step guide to systems modelling. A holistic, system approach underlies all of the work of The Lab, and it is a key component of the GSF curriculum. The course will be used in future GSF sessions, both during the pre-curriculum and throughout the program itself. We also intend to offer the course as an open-source resource for all.

The course was developed thanks to a generous grant from the Foundation for Advancement of System-Oriented Management Education at the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland. To create the course, The Lab collaborated with Loops Consulting, a consultancy working for systems thinking and sustainability. Various members of the Loops Consulting team are alumni/ae of the GSF, and two team members, Conor Meehan and Therese Bennich, served as faculty members during the 2018 GSF summer session.
We invite you to peruse the course yourself! For a general introduction to systems thinking, please see this resource written by Lab founder Dr. Michael Ben-Eli.
