Sustainability Entrepreneurs
Following a well attended Sustainability Entrepreneurs workshop held at the Esalen Institute in California, in 2008, the Sustainability Laboratory is launching a special yearly workshop for active change
agents -- young professionals from around the world. The Sustainability Entrepreneurs workshop is designed to encourage the
emergence of a new breed of men and women who wish to incorporate sustainability principles in their innovative business or philanthropic ventures.
The Sustainability Entrepreneurs workshop and seminars are centered around sustainability practices, technologies, and strategies. Participants will review The Five Core Principles of Sustainability, expressed in relation to a set of five fundamental domains, the Physical Domain; the Economic Domain; the Social Domain; the Domain of Life; and the Spiritual Domain. The systemic nature -- how each domain affects all the others and is affected by each in return -- will be explored along with examples of actual ground breaking initiatives from around the world.
In addition to the Sustainability Entrepreneurs training seminars and workshops, the Sustainability Laboratory offers participants of these programs on-going support through a program of business and strategy development services. These services are offered to leaders from businesses, communities, development agencies and governments, and are designed to assist these groups in assessing, planning and implementing their sustainable development initiatives.
