Two hundred and forty young Bedouin guides from the Society for the Protection of Nature participated in four days of training at Project Wadi Attir. These young people, from Rahat, K’seifa and Hura, will soon be responsible for teaching 1400 local children about “sustainability and quality of life.”
Over the course of the four-day training session, the participants participated in workshops and activities related to diverse concepts, including water conservation, ecosystem restoration, and social leadership.
The training culminated with visits from the Directors of the Youth Departments from Rahat, Hura and K’seifa, and the Spokesmen from Municipal Councils. Director of the Visitor’s Center at PWA, Mr. Amran Amarni, and Director of the Southern Region of SPN, Ms. Hanan Alsanah, spoke at the closing workshop, and both are looking with excitement towards the continued partnership of our two organizations.
